What are the transition metals?

What are Alkali Metals?

What are Noble Gases?
any of the gaseous elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon, occupying Group 0 (18) of the periodic table. They were long believed to be totally unreactive but compounds of xenon, krypton, and radon are now known.
Facts about the Periodic Table.
- Carbon is unique in that it is known to form up to 10 million different compounds. Carbon is important to the existence of life.
